We had the front windows tinted on our 2013 ford explorer, we now have window noise from the front windows at highway speed. Thoughts? I'm thinking the place cleaned the windows, and the factory might have had silicon oil or something on the seals. Anyone else had this problem? I'm thinking about putting a some silicon oil back on the seal along the top where the noise comes from.

Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the Forum diganutz.:wavey:
I doubt that the factory used any kind of lubricant. Not sure if you are talking about door or window seals.
The 2011's had many problems with an oily residue appearing on the windows each time they were lower and raised. Ford finally came out with a TSB on that.
As for the door seals, I haven't noticed any kind of lubricant on mine.

It's a 2013, and it was fine until the windows were tinted. I talked to the place that tinted it, they will remove the tint if i want, but they have never heard of this issues before.
