It's always hard to pinpoint where a noise is coming from when your driving at the same time so here goes....definately from one wheel to the other front wheel...in there somewhere. The noise is like when you are running snow tires on pavement, and it only does this the last 20-30 feet of breaking ( at least that's when it is most noticeable). I've also noticed a low "drone" noise that I just can't pinpoint ( it's just there) at a higher rate of speed ...I have a few ideas what it may be but I want everyones opinion on this. I won't say yet what I think it is as I don't want to prompt anyone :D

the snow tire sound while the last 30ft of breaking might be your pads indicating they need to be changed (check them asap). the droneing noise might be wheel out of balance , if your 4x4 then the hubs might not be unlocking?

That's what I was thinking...also maybe bearings, one of the two anyway.
