fuel filter tool

so is everybody sure that a '91 4.0 efi with a/c needs this special fuel line tool to remove the fuel filter. cuz i tried again today for at least an hour, without said tool, and had no luck getting the line to disconnect from the filter.

yes, the tool is only about $5 from any auto parts store, it takes 5 seconds to disconnect with the tool.

Dude, we all wouldn't have told you you needed the tool if you didn't need the tool. Capische? Trust us. We're here to help, not make you spend $ you don't have to.

5 seconds? That guy is crazy. Even with the tool it typically takes me a few minutes to get it off, LOL.

Yea, and if your not using the tool what were you using? A screw driver or something - you jam something in the fitting and bust one of those springs or bend, scrape or otherwise FU the fitting your going to pay a bunch more than 5 or 10 bucks for a special tool when you need to replace the fuel lines.
