Fuel Filter

I want to change my fuel filter, but I'm a bit confused as to which one I need.
Mines an early 97 and I hear there are 2 different types.
I've looked on Fram, AC Delco etc Web sites, and they seem to contradict themselves.

Ford say the part number is 3321582.

Any input of what other members have used would be appreciated.

there are 2 types of fuel filter, both the same length, early 1 is about twice as fat as the early 1, think late 98 was change point. If yours is early 97 then its the bigger fatter type. As it so happens, i have changed from 97 to 2000 model and have an early fuel filter that i never fitted sitting in my garage sourced from ebay, says mahle group kl549 on side of it.
