A while back I had a problem with my fuel pump, basically died and had it replaced by my mechanic. After he replaced the fuel pump, the fuel gauge has been not working properly. In short, the tank is empty when the gauge shows 1/3 full. The gauge does move, but off alignment.
BTW, 1998 Explorer Eddie Bauer with 190K miles.
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
