I have yet to see a fuel tank additive that does much more than clean all the debris out of your fuel lines and dump it in your injectors. I think power flushing through the fuel rail is the best way.
I've tried a ton. One semi worked. It was in a yellow bottle shaped a little like an upside down funnel. I answered a thread with the name if you search my posts, or search the site.... Might have been Prestone or something. $3 or $4 from AutoZone.
The best thing I've done for cleaning thus far has been SeaFoam. And now that AutoZone carries it, I'm much happier.
Seafoam - I usually use 2 bottles. One for the engine treatment.
Half a bottle for the gas tank, Half for the crankcase (right before I know I am going to be changing my oil)
