Hi Everyone ! I've got a 97 XLT OHV engine VIN X. I think it has a big problem.. The 3rd injector leaks fuel and it looks like it is from the fuel rail. Now, it is a brand new injector and it started recently. Now, my vehicle has had this issue before. The previous owner had a small fire in the same area and I begin to think that there is something wrong with the fuel rail at that 3rd injector. The 3rd injector is the last one towards the cabin when you look at the engine from the front of the car, on the left.
Does anyone think that changing o-rings might fix it ? I think it needs a new fuel rail. Now, in Australia it is a bit difficult to find one especially new. Does anyone know a shop in US where I could get this ? My engine is a 6 Cyl. 4.0 OHV gas (i think it is called a Collogne engine). The fuel rail has spacen sinside for the air to flow through from the intake manifold and a thick blue seal between it and the engine block with the same 6 spaces for air flow.
Thanks for any help !
