Does anyone know of a Fuse Assortment package that comes reasonably close to matching the 2017 Explorer.
Maybe I'm just a dinosaur left over from the ancient automotive world, but I've always made it a point to keep an assortment of common fuses around for my previous cars. This is by first Explorer and the latest model that I've had. I looked in the Owner's Manual and found a massive list of fuses, along with footnotes showing that the fuses were seven completely different types (not just different amperage but physically different). There are apparently two different heights of the J-case fuses, M-case fuses, then dozens of maxi, mini, and micro fuses in 2 and 3 pin styles.
I figured that some company must make a kit of fuses, but when I started looking I see lots of different assortments, none of which even come close to matching what Ford chose to use. All the packaged assortments seem to be about half sizes that I know at NOT used in my Explorer, while obviously omitting many that are used.
I don't expect to need a full set of spare fuses, but I don't have enough experience with the Explorer to even begin to guess which fuses are likely to be needed and I don't want to find myself needing to find some strange fuse like a "micro-3" when the stores are all closed -- and to be honest I'm not delighted at the prospect of paying the inflated prices that individual fuses sell for.
So, does anyone have some good ideas about which fuses I ought to keep on hand, and whether those might be available in some sort of packaged assortment?
