Are these fusible links and are they between the battery and alternator?
One of them connects to the orange wire, which disappears into the harness -- where does that wire go?

Per the 2004 wiring diagram:

A #4 YE/WH comes from battery junction box to Splice #14 4 . It splits here to Fusible Link A and Link B.

Fusible Link A goes to Splice #14 3 and into Fusible Link C. Coming out of that is a #14 OG/LB heading to terminal A of the alternator. This is the sensing circuit.

Out of Fusible Link B is a #4 GK/OG which goes to terminal B+ of the alternator. This is the main output.

I'll have to clean it up abd see if it has a light blue stripe but sounds right that it's the sense wire.

Thanks!

Is that part of the wiring diagram on here our elsewhere online?
I'm looking for a .5A drain on my battery that doesn't stop when I pull each fuse in the power distribution box.

To confirm if the orange wire is a drain through the alternator, simply disconnect the 2 pin connector on the alternator and see if the 0.5 amp draw goes away.
