Garage door remote compartment

New 2010 owner here. I'm curious to see if anyone has done any modifications to the garage door remote compartment for non-garage owners like me.

Currently I have the wife's sun glasses in the sunglasses compartment, and my own sunglasses just sort of flopping around in the garage door remote compartment.

Anyone ever do any modifications to it to make the idea work better, or any other things done to change it into something other than for a garage door opener/homelink?

Lucky you, you mustn't have a moonroof. The only place convenient I have for my sunglasses is the little cubby just above the Microsoft Sync emblem on the center console.

I have never considered converting that space into something else. Most of the time, I don't even use it. Unsure what you could even utilize such a small space for.
