I want to put some wall shelving high up on the walls of my garage for additional storage. I have purchased 20 12"x8" heavy duty shelf brackets from Menards, for $2.90 plus tax, total, after rebates

So, just curious on what you guys are using, or recommending, for shelving material.
Not planning on storing overly heavy items on these. Anything heavy will be put on a pair of 8' high metal Aquafina display shelves I got from grocery store I worked at in the past.

- white metal linen closet shelving? (like used in closet organization)
- basic unfinished wood?
- MDF?
- particle board?
- other?
