Garage shelving. What are you using?

I want to put some wall shelving high up on the walls of my garage for additional storage. I have purchased 20 12"x8" heavy duty shelf brackets from Menards, for $2.90 plus tax, total, after rebates Brackets pictured below.

So, just curious on what you guys are using, or recommending, for shelving material.

• white laminated particle board?
• white metal linen closet shelving? (like used in closet organization)
• basic unfinished wood?
• MDF?
• particle board?
• other?

Not planning on storing overly heavy items on these. Anything heavy will be put on a pair of 8' high metal Aquafina display shelves I got from grocery store I worked at in the past.

I have 3/4" plywood shelving on a 2 X 2 wood frame in my shed. It has tool boxes, and milk crates with parts inside. I don't have a Menards where I live. We have Lowe's & Home Depot.

I primarily use Gorilla shelves and bread racks, but I have a couple shelves that are wood. I use melamine (sp?).

Basically its MDF with a coating on the top.. that way it doesn't get as screwed up when something leaks on it. I add a 1/2 to the bottom to give it some extra strength so it doesn't bow.

Our garage shelves are plywood(1/2?) and we also have old kitchen cabinets.

Plywood and 2x4's here. All free standing so I can still roll stuff under them.
