I have a 96 4dr v6 4.0L explorer w/ a superchip and k&n kit, and i get really really bad mileage, i'm talking like 12-14 mpg highway, 11 city, what is the deal?

try a search...there are a ton of threads similar to this one. From my recollection, it seems that most people found the problem to be O2 sensors that need replacing. Others suggest that you may also want to try cleaning your throttle body and MAS. Also I think I recall some talk about FPR (fuel pressure regulators) that caused bad mileage.
Search for throttle body and MAS, also O2 sensors and FPR.....or just "bad gas mileage"....
