Gas mixed with diesel

So we get a call from a kid who works at a gas station and he said he filled up a jobbers truck with gas instead of diesel, thank god he told the owner befor he drove away and blew the engine.

Anyways, now we have $250 of gas sitting in a 45 gallon drum outside out shop

I'm tempted to fill up my tank, but theirs about 10 liters of diesel and some oil the was at the bottom of the oil drum

I'm wondering if a tank of that kind od mixture would plug up my cats... atleast we have enough gas for our old wrecker now

That will most likely make a mess out of your injectors and cats...don't chance it..

You can add a bunch of ATF in it and run it in just about any older diesel.

Naaah, it'll be fine... I'd pour it in with 1/2 tank of straight gas, and it'll be fine. I used to run my leftover 2-stroke gas from my boat all the time. Admittedly it was 50:1, but if you're not mixing it too rich, the worst it's going to do is smoke a bit.

it will screw up the cats. may not be right away but it will. use to get rv's in with 150 gallons gas to about 30 diesel and after a year it melted the cats. they glowed red and melted the foam under the seats in my old pathfinder. if you dont have cats then theres no problems besides smoke till engine warms up

depends what you mean by a lot, that would barely only cover me for one summer and I only have about 1.2 acres of grass. When I think of the gas I use in my vehicle and my cars it just makes me cry
