gasket sealant

Hi all, just a quick question. I was at the parts store and needed to buy some gasket maker stuff. There was red, blue, black and grey, and all varied very little besides red offering it was a high temp. Which one should I use for head gasket replacement and manifold gaskets? Not sure they all say gasketmaker...

I don't think I'd use anything on a head, or exaust manifold, gasket. If I'm not mistaken most come with a sealant already on them.

there are real material gaskets for heads and exhuast... rtv will not work for those applications, that is not what rtv was designed for

It wasnt made for applying the head gaskets? what is it made for then?
