Did you buy it and by chance not use your cd key to log into your gamer profile on Xbox Live?

I bought it, and threw the box out not realizing that the serial number is needed to log into ones gamer profile. I called Microsoft and gave them all the info they needed, and they wanted to charge $10 to issue me a new number. F that. So I figured that there has to be SOMEONE out there who bought the game that does not have a gamer tag. So I can have their cd key

Its actually inside the box beneath where the cd is held. The new boxes they are putting games in now take up so much space, I keep all my cds in a case. What ever happened to just a cardboard box to hold a cd and instruction manual?

My intention was to peel the sticker off and put it on the cd, but once I got the sticker off, I noticed it said "Xbox Live Serial Number", and I don't play on Live, so I threw it out. Once I started the game, in order for me to be able to save my progress, I have to log into my gamer profile. Well to do that, I need that serial. I shot myself in the foot, but why a serial for a gamer profile as opposed to one to PLAY THE GAME??

**There is no thread, what happened, was I was downloading movies from torrents, like I always do. Except, I got a bad one. A torrent that had been being watched. Well, about a week or so later, I get a letter in the mail from paramount with all of the information of the download. It was saying all of the stuff that could happen, (bad) and such. Nothing ever came of it, I am guessing because I was only caught downloading the one, and wasn't distributing it. I know in my area though, many people have been caught illegally downloading music. I think at UW-EC they caught 100 some students with illegal downloads. End of the story, nothing ever happened, I think it was just more of a scare letter. I might still have it around, I'll look for it.**

Haha, wow man I actually worked with this one girl that got busted for music. She ended up paying something like $1500 after all was said and done. Well, regardless, was it a good movie?

It was ok. I know the students at UWEC they were trying to charge them $700 PER SONG I don't think that worked, but still..

My buddy got busted a few years back. Settled the case for around $3,500.

It wouldn't be that big of a deal, but I cannot save my progress without logging into my gamer profile. Which makes me wonder how they expect people without an Xbox to play the game?

Unless of course they assume you'll just sit at your computer all day and play the game the whole way through

Alright thats by far the dumbest thing ever. You NEED to have a 360 gamer profile to play this game on the pc.

buy a new game copy the number and take it back and say someone bought it for you and you dont want it and get your money back

I know of a crack that lets you play with no key, you can save progress too. It disables live though in the same, but you get full single player with save games.

Yeah I really have a difficult time understanding some of Microsofts decisions.

Wow I feel kinda dumb I never thought to check Epics forums, as it looks like there are a lot of unhappy people about the serial thing too!
