Getting another explorer

Hi All,
5 years ago we sold the Explorer and the Ranger, bought her a Lexus and an F350 w/camper for me...retirement doesn’t always mean downsizing
Now looking to replace the RX300 with a 2nd gen Explorer 4x4.
Anybody have any info on gas mileage V6 vs V8...we won’t be towing anything but will be transporting groceries, grankids and parts for our big Fords

Fuel mileage is about the same but the timing chains of the v6 will eat your lunch.
