GF's nickname for the X, what do you think?

So my girlfriend and I are sitting around talking and I am rambling on about things my brother and I are doing/are going to do to my Explorer (which she so graciously pretends to enjoy hearing about I might add) and out of the blue she says, "man it sounds like you guys are doing some serious plastic surgery to your X, maybe you should call it Heidi."

As in, Heidi Montag...that busty blonde that I believe was on "The Hills" that has gotten a ton of attention for many of her body parts that are no longer "OEM"....just like my X.

Anyway, I thought, hey, Heidi isn't that bad a nickname at all, and ever since we started this project we've been trying to think of a name. I told her I would leave it up to the guys on EF.

So....thoughts? (and don't hold anything back...it wasn't my idea)

I'll admit, I call her she, but she still doesnt have a name.

I had names for our other cars.... all Pokemon. LOL. Yes, we had kids.

Squirtle - 1994ish Jeep Cherokee. (She squirted oil)
Pikachu - A Toyota Celica that had a Sony stereo that when you shut the car off would always go. "Pika, Pika..Pika, Pika..Pika, Pika)
Charmander - 1990 Acura Legend (Red)

The way I treat my ex, I might as well name her after my ex. LOL eace

Let me clarify....my GF's name isn't Heidi. That's the name my GF thought I should call my explorer for the reasons I mentioned previously.

While they are the two great loves in my life...I can't quite bring myself to pull a Forrest Gump and name her after my GF...

Well this weekend, we were looking at an Ex for my parents, and they had a yellow NBX at the dealership. My Dad said "Maybe you should buy this one, then you could have Shamrock and ShamWow."

yeah ahem.. girls name cars. Guys, well ones that don't wear fancy pants, DON'T..... Guys name things like Guns, or Dogs and it's never anything like heidi. Unless your moms name was heidi and she gave you the Gun from her personal collection just before getting killed by a bear that she was hunting. Then it would be acceptable LOL....




As to heidi, personally I don't get the artificial thing. It just means she is probably very superficial. Why can't we just all be happy with what God gave us. She looked better before all the stupid surgery. She should have saved the money...

There is nothing wrong with naming your rig. Some can't share the spotlight with the Rig. A name gives it personality and reference to itself, not the owner.

Even James Dean had named his Porsche (Little *******) that killed him.

Name it whatever you want, and feel good about it

LOL... yeah Ford provides the canvass, we provide the paint and the finishing touches. It's a great canvass, but it just doesn't quite fill the needs of everyone.

Tell your GF that the name is great and you think she has the best ideas in the world, and your so glad that you met her, it's all good!! Just don't come back here saying she named something else "princess sofia"

All of my guitars have names, and I had a Ford Escort named "Ron". I was thinking my Ex should be named "Delores". Not a good reason, just like the name.
