Anybody tried Gibbs Penetrating Oil? They claim its the best on the market. Since i'm looking down the barrel of a bodly lift project, always nice to have the best penetrating oil out there. I've always used PB Blaster with good success.

And while i'm on the topic of penetrating oil, has anybody tried the Cheap Trick listed in the August Four Wheeler, where the reciped calls for equal parts kerosene and ATF for breaking loose rusted bolts?

Thanks in advance,

-Brett

I've been using PB Blaster to good effect. But I would like to know more about Gibbs and this Cheap Trick you mention. The only Cheap Trick I've heard of is the band... :)

I have seen the ATF/Keroseen trick work but it takes longer for it to penetrate. I have seen ads for the Gibb's stuff, but have no first hand experence with it.

Hey Mrboyle,

Does the ATF/Kerosene trick work better, but takes longer... or is it just cheaper but the same performance as the PB Blaster?

Moust Milk is another good penetrating oil to try.

I don't think it works any better. The only thing I have seen better than most quality penetrating oils is a blue tip wrench (torch).
