I have a 1994 Explorer Limited. I just replaced a broken (fender-mounted) starter solenoid switch and installed a new battery. I cleaned up all the contact points in the switch and battery wires and cables, and tightened all connections securely. However, I have no power whatsoever or electrical to anything (including headlights, interior lights, ignition, etc, etc.). What in the world could the problem be? Everything was working fine prior to the work described above! I am new to the forum-- I sure could use the expertise! Thanks, Greg.

Its pretty common with the 1st Gen Explorers to have corroded battery cables, often under the insulation where you can't see it. If you have a ohmeter (DVM set to ohms) test to see how much resistance you have in the battery cables.
