Hello all! I'm so glad to have found you. My 99 Explorer won't crank over when the engines hot! I've had the starter replaced and I get all auxiliary power but just clicking when I turn the key. The mechanics around here are all trying to take advantage of me because I'm a girl. I have half a clue though but can't figure this out. Please help!

Does it not crank ?

Or no start?

I know this sounds silly, but make sure the battery posts are clean. It only takes a little current to make lights and clickies--but it takes full contact to rotate the engine.

Also, you might check the starter relay under the hood in the relay box. There should be a few of the same relays in the box. Swap the starter relay with another and see what happens.
