Going over bumps or even roadways

For my ‘02 Explorer XLS, when driving over bumps, or uneven paths in the road, it seems as though the rear end is moving around a lot side to side, if I explained that correctly. It’s bouncing around a lot.

Also look at your struts. If they are covered in oil then they need to be replaced. They are in charge of stopping body motion
 






Again as noted above, sway bar end links and bushings, as well as all other rear suspension parts, Push and pull on components and see if there is play, also inspect all rubber parts back there to see if they are cracked or dried out. Be sure to check springs/struts as well for cracks. The rear springs are notorious for breaking on these, always replace in pairs
