Got my sub installed today

Yeah I got my sub in today and it sounds great!!! I have an Image Dynamics ID10 V.3 Dual 4 ohm sub powered by a JBL BP300.1.

Originally the sub had this black plastic cover over it too:

But, the cover was touching the cone and making this horrible rattling sound. I could just hear the sub dieing. So I took it off:

I'm really happy with the performance of the sub and amp. I recommend JBL amps and ID subs to any and all!! The bass really adds what I wanted to my system and sounds a whole lot better.

i had that amp and i beat it to HELL!! As for it it has been sold from me to my friend and from him to his friend and has ran various setups and never shown a problem. JBL amps are vary reliable!

what did you use for an enclosure in there, is it one of the pre-fabs, of a custom box ?

It's a pre-fabricated JL Audio Vantage box. $179 from my local car stereo shop.

The box, sub, and amp were Christmas presents so I only have to pay for the amp kit and install.
