got new tires and some wheels...

new tires 265/70/16

old tires 235/75/15

Well, here are links to pics showing what I had and what I went with. I had 235/75/15 on there and went with 265/70/16 Signet Winter Trax tires thanks to 01baja4x4's wheels. I had them test fit some 265/75 but they were just to big for my needs. I did like the look of them, though. I was really worried about my gearing with them being so big. I would have went from 3.55 to 3.23 or so according to some of the formulas I have tried. That would be way to high of gearing for towing a trailer when we go camping. The 265/70's made my ratio go from 3.55 to 3.35. I can live with that. It drives much nicer now with new tires as apposed to the ones I had with over 30K on them. Now I just need to get my speedo taking care of.

Digger, his stock size was 29". The new tires are 31.5"

Actually, 235/75/15 are 28.9 (29) and 265/70/16 are 30.6. While this isn't a large jump in size compared to most it is fine for what I need and want.

Madmike, the color is what helped us buy the rig when we found it 3 years ago. We really liked that color. I just wish it had a better interior (seats mainly). I have upgraded the console from the standard short one to the high series type and also put in an overhead console. I had to spray blue dye on the floor console since it was tan and got lucky and found a blue overhead console on eBay.
