Well I took the sled to Morosso tonight to see what she's got...I'm not that impressed but I'm on the right track....

Truck weight w/ me and 6gal gas......4310lbs

Best run.....

R/T .974
60' 2.216
1/4mi 14.968 sec
TS 92.01 mph

I'll take it back when I put more mi on it and I'm changing the mas to a 80mm with 36lb injectors. I'm also going to put smaller diameter wheels on back w/ street slicks to help w/ the launch. dom:)

hey dom just out of curiousity is this setup meant to be n/a or do you plan on putting a blower on? i am sure once the engine is broke in that it will run better. have you had any tranny work done to it yet?

alright man, glad to see it coming together. dont feel dissapointed, it takes some serious hp to get a 4300lb. rig to break into the 14's... MAS and injectors will help alot with your setup.

what do you have for gears in there?

Hey James

A quick plug in on a pc dyno with the trap speed and E/T yields around 310hp at the flywheel. This motor should be pushing more than that. I've got to go over it on a dyno and figure where I'm missing power. I'm going to change the intake to either a holley or TFS, also I'm switching out the mass air to an 80mm w/ 36lb injectors. Ive also got a 6lb powerdyne on the way which should be here next week. I want it to run in the 12's! and get 14mpg:)

The gears are FMS 4.10 I'm going to pick up a set of 15" dragslicks which will further lower the gearing some.

I plugged into 4 or 5 different poor-man's dynos on the internet and got an average of about 280 at the rear wheels for those times. Pretty darn good for a 2+ ton truck :D

I'm running 16 seconds flat with 33s, 3.73 gears, 4500 lbs, and full trail equipment. That's also with a nasty headwind. Getting onto some smaller tires alone would probably get me into the low 15s. Take off the huge roof basket and I may get 15 flat or below ;) I figure I have about 230-240 at the wheels, 300 at the wheels with the nitrous oxide.

hmmm... yea i agree you should be well over 310 at the flywheel. maybe the stock fuel pump cant keep up with the 347, and you're having some lean spots. (just thinking out loud here). also, you need a little more pressure running the 19 pounders, but you say theyre going soon, so i wouldnt worry about it. also, if your still running the stock computer program, its not even revving as high as the motor will. the stock rev limiter is @ around 5000, and your new motor should pull to 6 easy. this could be some of your "missing" horsepower. all in all, you'll get it worked out soon. BTW- what compression ratio is the motor?

I have a Superchip but I'm getting a custom one burned by a friend of Bill's.
as for the compression ratio, I don't know, I need to get it figured out so I know how much boost I can run.
