grey wire with boot

I was checking on a ABS issue and found a loose wire. It is on the right side of engine compartment y all the AC lines. It comes out of the firewall and and has a boot on it. Any ideas where it is supposed to go?

It may be the wire/boot that sticks on the rear most valve cover bolt.

Thanks, I put it on the vc bolt. Any idea what that wire does?
