Grill Work

Never really liked the stock look of the Explorer Grill, just too much space between the "ribs" with a full view of the radiator and stuff. . .so I added some mesh on the backsides to make it look a little cleaner.

Let there be no doubt, I got the idea from LD 50, but instead of the stainless steel mesh I used $2.12 worth of plastic gutter guard, glued and screwed to the grill. From the photo you can see how the mesh looks, plus the winch control box (lower left of the grill), plus the homemade canvas winch cover on top of the Ramsey REP 8000 (the blue Fordemblem is barely visible below fog light), and the roller fairlead cover that I made from a vanity (Flag and Eagle) license plate and MAGLite clips.
