grille removal

my grille is light grey, i have not seen any other 99's with the light grille most are a dark grey, i want to paint it either dark grey or black, is the grille easy to remove? or should i just mask it and paint it?

I took out my grille, masked it off, and painted it black. But mines a '91. I havnt ever seen one with a lighter shade of grey as the offset color. If i were you i would take the grille off to paint it. Less chances of getting dark grey or black on your hood and bumper !

its really easy to remove the grille. FIrst take off the protective plastic that is right over the grille under ur hood. THere are a few screws on there, make sure top get them out. Remove both the blinkers and u will see a release clip and a screw behind the blinkers. On the bottom of the grille, there is two more release clips, be carefull pullin on the bottom part because they can brake easly, trust me. THats jus about all that holds on the grille.
