i just started noticing a grinding sound with the slightest tilt of the wheel to the right. so far i've swapped to different rims and pulled off all my brakes and all 4 rotors to see if anything was rubbing. No luck. the grinding sounds like a brake shield or similar thin piece of steel.

i made 3 full circles around the cul-de-sack (roundabout whatever thingy at the end of my road). the grinding is intermittent at first but becomes noticable around 39 seconds

Can anybody confirm what this noise could be?

Sounds like a brake pad wear out sensor. you sure one is not rubbing the rotor. they get bent sometimes and rub the rotor before the pad is very worn.

Turned out to be driver side rear wheel bearing. There was 3/4" to 1" of play in the bearing so it was pretty shot. The pads and rotors are only 2 months old. I didn't think a bad wheel bearing sounded like this though
