Heyas All,

I appologize if this was posted elsewhere, I was having difficulty locating anything similar in the searh function. I have a 97 explorer with a 4 pin flat, and what I would like to do is install a 7 pin. The electric break wiring was already present from previous owner.

My main questions were: can I just tie into the reverse light wiring near the bulb area? And is there a prefered place somewhere near the rear of the vehicle where I can tie into auxiliary power?

I am sort of an electrical noob, so I figured I would do as much research as possible before I attempt the project.

Any help at all would be most appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Hello

Welcome to the forums. I hope this helps a bit for you. I just finished wiring up my buddys F150 yesterday with this site as a reference.
