I run my system in Surround Mode because I think it provides better imaging throughout the cabin. I've been thinking about upgrading my B&O system. In home audio, the center channel is critical, so I don't want to skimp on that part. Is this a good place to start my upgrades? Has anyone done this yet? I'm leaning toward these speakers for that location. I used the Crutchfield site to see what works there, and these were the best I saw. The Reference series has decent reviews everywhere I've looked.

i replaced the center channel speaker but only to get more clarity with turn-by-turn voice directions. I only listen to music out of the front door speakers (two of three drivers replaced) and powered sub using STEREO, fade foward.

I saw your post detailing the door speaker replacement when I searched before making my post. I like that set you put in your doors and will add it to my list to look at when I progress that far.

as far as the center speaker, i used the same 3" driver as the doors, FaitalPRO 3FE22. Unlike the doors, it barely fit. You cannot select a driver that is too deep in that location.
