Has NASCAR been boring?

McMurray is a nice dude. I had the pleasure of talking to a few drivers at MIS, him being one- he's a genuine dude.

On an aside note, I'm glad Jr. seemed pissed that he didn't win. Looke dlike he got bumped and just kept the car running right through the middle. Great gutsy move. I hope he has a better year, I think he's tired of hearing 'letdown' stuff, and I think NASCAR needs the excitement- it's been a snorefest the last few years.

I thought that the cooler evening air being more dense might cause a lean condition and blow some motors by not changing to a larger jet in the carburetor. But that did not happen. They ran about 3 mph faster in the cooler air which is understandable.

I agree with ya. Even the allmighty NASCAR itself knows this. Did you notice the new advertisement showing the Good Ole Boys slapping each other around? NASCAR would have never shown that the last couple of years.
They really need to take the yokes of these guys and let the vent their frustrations some instead of treating them like a bunch of Choir Boys.

Did any one notice the TV shot of the spark plugs all lined up next to the engine. They were all single electrode. Thought that was interesting. None of that 3 and 4 electrode stuff.

...The Danica show has been in So Cal all week...

...Nationwide practice starts in about 20 minutes and we are suppose to have rain this afternoon and tomorrow...This may mess up the Sprint cup practice today or the Nationwide race tomorrow..

..Right now they are hoping for the rain to come in after all the practices today and it should be over before tomorrows Nationwide race with the next rain coming in after Sunday's Sprint car race...

I'm all for Danica making the switch, she seems to be cool and not an egomaniac and knows shes got a lot to learn, but dang we don't need to know every 90seconds what position shes in and what her and Eury Jr. are saying. Shes slowly becoming the Brett Favre of nascar where the media feels the need to tell us every last thing shes doing.

Ya I think she will do ok it's all about sponsors and if she brings sponsors then more power to her. I'm too real sick of all the attention focused on her, the other week in the ARCA race there was 10 women qualifying for that race and all they could talk about was Danica. Allot of people are looking for her to do good but I think the media might turn fans away and just wish it would all go away.

This weekend is I guess a road race at Infineon Raceway‎ and I gotta say that it's kind of difficult to see these cars take on a road race, especially with the 24 hrs of LeMans and the Canadian F1 Grand Prix back to back last weekend. And is it just me or am I seeing a lot of 3-wheelies? It almost seems like a moderate GT-3 car can outrun these higher budget NASCAR vehicles at Infineon.

Turn left go fast. Oh no a right turn.

Ron Fellows said that the Corvette is about 10 Sec. faster around the track than the NASCAR cars.
I dont know that I could tell the difference on TV.

Nationwide race at Road America was great. Been there a couple of times for races. Plus my driver won. :D

I watched that race, it was fun to watch. Be interesting to see the weights of the different styles of road course cars. Bet the NASCAR boys are behemoths compared to the rest. Seems they would be so hard to accelerate out of the turns. Not mentioning their high COG taking a toll on the suspension.

...Just a reminder, this weekends race is tonight @ 7:30 ET...

...And for those who missed it last night, Jr won a race driving the No. 3 Wrangler Chevrolet in honor of his late father...;)

"Dale Earnhardt Jr. slid into a car honoring his late father on Friday and gave a fitting tribute as he drove the No. 3 straight to Victory Lane at Daytona. It was his first points win in any of NASCAR's top three series since 2008."

Now let's see if Jr. can pull off the miracle double at Daytona

...Today's race in Texas has not been boring...:D

...It was jeff gordon so it wasn't much but I'm sure it will be on the news...

...Along with why bush got a 1 lap directly followed by a 2 lap penalty..:p:

totally supprised w/ the gordon, and burtton match. Still pretty calm for both sides following that! I think this is the best racing in years. And Jimmy Johnsons pit crew has been benched just to be replaced for the race. For gordons crew. Great times
