Parking lights won't work! Can't pass inspection!

My parking lights are not working on my truck.
The front two work fine....its the rear lights that don't work.
Both the turn signals work.
The brake lights work as well.
But when i put the hazards on, nothing happens.
Reverse and all other interior lights work as well.
I need to get this truck inspected on monday.
Any suggestions?
Please respond.

I would check the sockets and bulbs for corrosion, and check the grounds for the lights. Besides that... dunno.

They may have a separate fuse. The hazards also have a separate flasher relay from the turn signals.

I messed up on the title........its my tail lights. When i put my parking lights on, only the front two corner lights work. The tail lights stay off though, until i hit the brake. Reverse lights work fine too.
Any suggestions?

sounds like a problem in the parking light circuit... however, there is a chance that it could be the dual filament in the bulb..... normally both rears dont go out at the same time, but it has happened on ocassion.....

I put new bulbs in all the sockets......how do i find the parking light circuit??

Did you try a hammer?

that always woked for me....

well damn.......if only id'a known a hammer would fix my parking lights........lol........but seriously........i really need to figure this mess out. No burnt fuses.......i looked in both the fuse panels inside the car and under the hood. Hazards work fine.......reverse works...hell even the turn signals work........just got no regular parking lights..........::::::::SIGH:::::::::

try willgling around the light switch

i tore the dash apart getting to that thing, and that didn't help.......next.

I don't know if it is the same for the newer x's, but on the older ones, the fuse for the tail lights (not brake lights) is the same as your instrument cluster...

If it isn't the fuse, check for an open at the back of the truck. In my case the wires for the tail lights got stuck between the body mount and the frame.. (body mount is getting old) which first shorted out the wire, then broke the wire (when it broke, fuses wouldn't blow, but I had no tail lights).

You may have to break down and buy a fox/hound set. You plug one end into the wire and then use another part that will make sounds as you get near the wire, You basically try to follow the wire through the truck to find where it is open...

Fuse # 3 - I think...
