hi ! i have a 2000 explorer sport and am seriously considering putting headers and a cat back system. Will these mods help save on fuel? How about those performance chips? do those help as well? thanks guys,:p:

Assuming you have a SOHC engine in your Sport (most likely), headers won't do much as the manifold on the SOHC is sufficient.

Catbacks, air intake setup and custom tuning can help, but your right foot ultimately determines whether you'll get good mileage or not with these mods.

Thanks

i already have a knn cold air intake and it has helped a bit...Thanks for the quick response. Do you have any other sugestions ?

Do not go with a chip. Get yourself an SCT tuner.

This who you need to talk to. www.hensonperformance.com
James' will get set up.

agreed...

CAT-BACK + SCT TUNER + K&N INTAKE = GOOD POWER GAINS

agreed...

YOUR RIGHT FOOT WILL DEPEND ON MPG GAINS
