Should there be a headlight and dimmer telltale on the dash? I'm sure there was a light
behind there when I bought it.
Anyone know?

You mean a light that tells you when... your lights are on? :D I don't understand what youre asking.

If you are refering to the headlamp/parking lamp switch then yes, the three small circles light up (always) I think they are brighter with the lights off.

The dimmer doesn't light up at all.

If you have auto headlights (there is a slide switch on the rear-view mirror) there is a small little lamp (green) that lights up to tell you the lights are on.

Hope this helps..

Yes, I'm referring to the three? little lights that show you where your headlight-parking
light switch is.
How do you get at the lights to replace them?
Anyone know?

I thought the interior light dimmer control had one too?

Could it just be a fuse?

Maybe it was the $325 MAF sensor they installed?

Here's a question for you, do you want to spend about 30-45 minutes tearing the radio bezel, knee bolster, and gauge bezel out to replace a $5-$10 bulb that in all likelyhood will go out in a month?

I replaced mine once and it lasted about a month, along with several other people here. it is a bulb and they burn out fast because they are on all the time the key is on.

Yes it is a bulb and not a fuse. and has nothing to do with the MAF sensor

The dimmer isn't lit, or at least on the '95s it isn't

On my '94 Taurus the headlight switch is about the same. The three lights stays on with the key
in the ignition. Now, those lights never burnt out.
I did have a '90 Aerostar that would burn out a headlight every 4k on the dot. Ford could
never figure that one out either. Plus that was about 40 minutes to R and R that headlight.
I bought'em by the case!
Go figure!
