I need to replace the driver's side headlight lens due to it being broken.

Can I just replace the lens or do I have to get the whole assembly?

I looked at it and didn't immediately see how to remove it, so I could use step-by-step instructions on changing the lens or lens assembly on the driver's side.

It's a 1994 Eddie Bauer. I have not seen just the lens replacement so far, only the whole assembly replacement.

Off the top of my head...

Open the hood, at the top of the grill is a right-angle piece of plastic spanning the width of the truck, that has to be removed (over a dozen phillips plastic pinch screws). Once that's removed, you can remove the plastic grill in the middle, the one with the Ford logo. Then you can undo the 2 screws at the top of the headlight that hold the plastic trim around the headlight then just pull at the trim/turn signal straight forward. There's clips in the bottom that hold the trim in place. With that removed, you can undo the 4 8mm fasteners holding the headlight assembly in place.

Yes, you have to replace the whole thing as an assembly. I'd recommend replacing both and NOT using cheap aftermarket parts. Try to find a good pair from a wrecked vehicle.

Thanks for your replies and info.
I did search in this thread but didn't find the good link above.
I'll be able to do the job now much better than trying to find my own way.

The grill removal, especially, would be something that I would not have figured out right away on my own.

Thanks again.
