Headlights just started coming on whenever I crank up and stay on, day or night, and they stay on for a couple of minutes when I shut off.
Batter and alternator are good but had a dead battery this morning but has been fine all day. Could dead battery be related to headlight behavior ?
Any ideas ?

Do you by any chance have auto lamps?
Does your rearview mirror (The middle one in the car) have buttons on it? If so, that's the problem. You either have it set up wrong or it's broken.
I'd guess you just have it on max.

You can unplug the autolamp from the rear of the mirror to disable it to test if that is causing your issue. It will not affect function of other items.
