I replaced the burnt out headlight switch bulb today, quite an easy job really (you don't even need to look at haynes manual, it just takes time, you can also clean any crap out of the instrument panel at the same type with some air.

Interestly it is only 9.00 from ford dealer, they sell the bulb sep. I mean 9.00 is still a lot for a bulb, but considering i have heard that it costs 40.00 for this from a US ford dealer it seems resonable.

Does anyone know or have any of the lights for the rear fog light switch and the rear window heater switch, my fog one is burnt out and the window heater bulb is on the way out. I asked ford and unlike the headlight switch, they only sell the whole switch for both, not just the bulb. I had a look on rockauto and they don't sell the bulbs sep. either. So should i give ford the 50.00 for both switchs, rock auto want the same in dollar as ford want in pound and then shipping, so i wouldn't be any better off really.

Bulbs and switches

The best bet for these is E-Bay, UK or USA site. Recently there was a whole set of dash switches on sale (I looked and they've gone now). Explorerparts, who are on E-Bay is a specialist breaker you can try too.

Hope this helps

I know what you mean. But a lot of the savage places on ebay want silly money for what are used parts. There is one savage place which has a listing on there for boot gas ram things for 100.00 and shipping, i mean you could get a brand new set from ford for that price.

There is a rear heated switch on ebay now for 14.99 and then 15.00 for shipping, the switch new from ford is only 23.00. You might as well have the new one. I will take a look at US ebay.
