Does anyone have the wiring schematic for the 2018 Explorer Sport? I tried searching the forums but couldn't find this specific vehicle.

Basically, I'm looking to tap into the front side markers on the headlight and want to be sure I'm tapping into the right ones. I have tried using multimeter to figure out which wires go to which lights but it seems that the side markers are always on with the signature LEDs so I can't be sure which are which.

Thank you for your help.

Without dynamic leveling:
LH side marker pin 9 GN-OG
RH side marker pin 9 BN-YE
GND is pins 1, 2 and 11 BK-GN

EDIT: Thank you! I was looking at the diagram wrong and you are right, it is Pin 9! Thanks again!

HI, Sorry to add to this but I am looking for the same informatoin. I have a wiring issue with my headlights staying on. Im looking for the headlight plug wiring schematics for a 2018 Explorer Sport. The LIN wire I believe is yellow with purple stripe but i am also looking to confirm other wires for what they work on. Thanks for any help

How long have you waited for them to turn OFF? Just curious as the Battery Saver Feature should turn them OFF after 10 minutes if they are left ON. Have you checked the headlamp delay setting? Although there isn't one to keep them ON past a certain time limit, I wonder if the setting may have changed from what you had it set to. Have you tried disconnecting the negative battery cable for a while and then seeing if that accomplished anything? You may lose some saved memory settings by doing that.

Yes thank you for the information. I have watched as many videos and searched this and other sites. They shut off with the battery saver. Both lights are on all the time irregardless of the switch. Ive checked and the switch is good. I had a shop install bypass switches to be able to turn off all the lights on the vehicle with the engine running. The explorer sport eyebrow lights were staying on all the time. So they installed simple toggle switches to bypass things. I brought it back to them to have everything returned and the mechanic that did the original work is no longer there. They removed the switches and reconnected the wiring however now they stay on all the time. From what i have found this indicates that the LIN wire is not functioning correctly. Either has a break in it or some other issue. Thats were I am at as I am trying to trace the wires from teh BCM module for the lighting to the headlight modules

I can check my schematic for you, but I don't have it with me now. Perhaps tomorrow.

That would be great. THank you.. They are telling me they have to replace both modules for $1100. From what i can see if both headlights stay on irregardless of the switch position etc than its a problem with the LIN wire. Ive gotten to the BCM and located all the wiring but there is a whole ton of wires in the one bundle that goes with the headlights etc.

BTW, the "eyebrow" lights you referred to are called Signature Lights and are not only on the Sport. ;)

Hi, I was looking at the wiring under the dash and found what looks like two new wires bundled that go into the bcm module. They are wrapped in black shielded style tape. The wires are yellow and black but dont appear to me that they were stock. Neither of the wires have any tracer colors on them. Ive tried to add the image to the post but keep receiving error messages so i must not have something correct.

Hello All...

Attached are PDFs for headlamps, rear, parking, and license lamps for the 2018's...

I hope each of you are well, and that this helps!

I see Tele got the schematics for you. I'm not sure why the LIN wire would be needed inside the headlamp assemblies since all of the FET switches are in the Body Control Module. Too bad the diagrams don't show more detail inside the headlamp assemblies.

Thank you so much for the schematics. Im working through them now. Is there anywhere i can find the connector information for the wiring? Im also not sure of what the "S" designations mean or what the location would be. I m thinking its for a switch? I notice one connector at the headlamp has an "address" pin showing which if I remember correctly was something the tech had mentioned being an issue. So im going to see if that was worked on.

Here are the connectors.

So its been three times working on this trying to trace everything back. Still cant get anything with the lights turning off. Checked an OHM check on the two headlamp connectors and they seem fine with the LIN wire reading ok. Im assuming then its from the headlamp connection to the BCM somewhere???
Any help on this is greatly appreciated. I seem to be at a loss. I havent gone to far into the harness yet from the headlamp connector back to through the harness. I was hoping for something obvious and so far nothing.
