Heat/Air Directional Issue

Hello I Have an 04 Ford Explorer XLT

My knob that tells where the heat/air will blow out of doesn't work properly. If I want defroster then it goes in my face, if I want floor board same thing....Any advice or what to replace and where this might be located

This is a blend door issue. Could be from a few different sources. It is an issue with most explorers. Please do a Google search for Broken Blend doors on Explorers. Lots of videos and forums on it. You'll find what you need.
