My issue didn't start until I installed a winter T-stat in my 96 Exploder last year. Even then, my heat wasn't great but it got me thru. It's gotten worse this year. Sometimes it will run you out of there, other times like this morning it will blow cold. Temp gauge stays right on normal and hoses are hot but air is cold. There's a vacuum valve online with both hoses. When I adjust the inside control the valve does nothing. I even manually pushed the valve post in and nothing changed. I pulled the vac line and there's no suction. I did flush the entire system last year. I even pulled the top heater hose when I refilled to help prevent that illusive air pocket. Can anyone help? It's gonna get cold next few days. Thanks in advance

Assuming you radiator is in fact full, if both heater hoses are hot while the air is blowing cold your problem is in the dash - not under the hood.

Okay. Thank you for the reply, I will start a new search there then.

Probably a clogged heater core. Very common on all cars.
