hey guys is there a link with photos on how to replace the heater core on a 98 5.0 AWD,mine went south.i hear their a nightmare like the s10"s.thanks
 






Basically, disconnect the whole steering column, like this

Do not pull the steering wheel ( like the ford service manual says to)
remove seats and center console.

This gives you the room to remove the dash , you do not actually need to remove the dash from the truck, and with the seats out of the way you'll have room to slide the dash back far enough to access the heater core.

There is also a series of videos on YouTube if you google YouTube heater core remove replace explorer. Covers all except the hidden bolt behind the engine/intake that is not easy to find/remove/replace
