I have a 2002 4.6L engine and thought I'd post a diagram for anyone looking for it. Most of these parts aren't available anymore from Ford so you have to find aftermarket replacement parts. I'm having a hell of a time trying to find the hose with the diagram number 18472F. Might need to just buy generic hose and just bend it the direction it goes if I can't find the aftermarket part.

I've been told the assembly number is 3L2Z18472CA which I assume includes two rubber hoses, the connector between and the heater valve. I've been told the part number of the hose I need is 1L2Z18472-LA.

I ended up buying a Dayco 87731 hose which is supposedly the exact fit. It was not exactly molded the same way but it's possible that my old one simply "settled" in a slightly differently shape over the years of hot coolant flowing through it. And, I might add that it turns out it was not the hose leaking but I changed it out anyway since I had already ordered the hose. The issue was really the heater restrictor valve which is plastic part that got brittle and was slightly cracked on the output side. When I tried to take off the hose off it the plastic just broke off inside the hose. Then when I tried to remove the hose from the heater valve the plastic on that side broke off too.

For the hose I used the Dayco part mentioned above. The Ford part number for the restrictor valve is supposedly 1L2Z18599BA but I could not find one so I used Dorman 902-008. For the heater valve the Ford part number is 1L5Z18495AB but I could not find so I used Murray 74859. Maybe this will help someone else out down the road.
