Hi Guys. I live in Delta Junction Alaska where the temp. last week was 58 below. Just so happened that that day my heater blower motor decided that it only wants to run on the lowest setting, and not on2, 3, or hi. Is this a blower motor problem, or more of the blower motor resistor burning out? Any input would be appreciated, Thanks.

Hi. This section of the forum is for the ancients, the old gods. If your issue is regarding your 2004, you may receive more relevant info posting:

That said (generally) , when a blower suddenly only provides 1 speed , it is normally the blower motor resistor pack that has failed, and normally only the highest setting works. If only the low setting works, higher blower settings on your explorer might go through relay. Just a supposition though. have 0 firsthand knowledge of your model.
