Hello 2001 explorer

2001 explorer will turn over but wont start. When it 1st began it would eventually start then began getting harder and harder. Now it wont start at all. Like its out of gas.

battery? spark plugs? or maybe injectors idk... this isnt my area fully, hopefully someone will chiem in with better ideas, but this is my 1st idea

I’d suspect the fuel pump first. Check it for spark. If so, bang on the tank with mallet and maybe she’ll fire. You can spray a SMALL amount of starting fluid to see if it fires. Do NOT try and run it on starting fluid to get ‘er going. Terrible for the motor.

Welcome to this forum! Do you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key? Is there a check engine light? Do you have an alarm system?
