Hello everybody, my name is Bridget, I’ve ended up in this forum a few times for questions about my Explorer but I decided to make an account today.
I’ve been driving a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT I bought from my sister for about a year now. It has about 266,000 miles; I say about because the odometer likes to stop working for months at a time (I looked into it, the interior is too much of a hassle to open up the instrument cluster to do anything about it and the cost to repair just isn’t worth it), a 5 year old transmission, and a nice little zip tie in the interior that lets me turn the heat on in Michigan winters. In light of the car having a “new” transmission, I went unorthodox with naming the car and named HIM Rocko. He is running on willpower alone.
I hope I can learn more about my car on here and maybe spread word on what I have learned while driving these seasoned endurance runners.
