hello to all & have a question

Have a heater related problem I believe. Explorer started recently to smell like antifreeze inside car, & just noticed water/antifreeze coming out of some sort of valve (?) coming out of firewall, just below heater core. any help would be appreciated; thank you.

The opening in the firewall is for AC condesation to drain out.
Having coolant exiting that hole means your heater core is toast/leaking.

As much as I'd LOVe to help you.. changing the heater core is really a one man job.

I ran across this right before you gave me that link.....typed 'heater core explorer replace' into Google & it sent me right back to this forum. Your link explains it perfectly. Thank you very much.

Internet very useful for things like this. A person hardly needs a mechanic anymore if he/she is willing to learn/ do the work.
