HELP! '93 Ranger I think it's my clutch. Please tell me i'm wrong!

Hi, I'm new!!

I have a 93 Ranger and i am having problems with the clutch I think. When you shift into third fifth or reverse you have to jamb the clutch pedal to the floor and have to force the shifter into gear,it grinds sometimes to like your not hitting the gear. When you shift into first second or fourth you can barely press the clutch pedal and it will shift if you push in to far it winds out,I also have to force the shifter into these gears sometimes. Could it be the clutch or just a part in the clutch system out?

That sounds more like synchros gone bad. It requires taking the transmission apart, and it's good to replace the clutch anyway while it's apart. If it were just the clutch, it would do it in other gears too.
