My rear brake lights don't come on when pressed. The center one at top does however. Also the turn signals won't blink when selected to the right or left but the emergency lights do flash (only in the front). I checked the bulbs and the fuses and they appear ok. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would change the bulbs just incase. Sometimes they apear to be ok but they are not. But I have never seen both of then not work unless there is a wiring problem. I will have to think about this one to see if I can come up with any ideas.

This is an odd one. You might check for relays under the hood. Check the flasher for the turn signals also. Sometimes those things go screwy and cause all types of odd problems

the brake/turn lights on the rear of the car use seperate filaments from the parking lights, so its very possible that both are just bad. try replacing the bulbs. this should correct the problem. also, when you activate your turn signal, does it blink normal? or is it quick? it it is quick, then this is a sure sign there is a missing filament since the flasher depends on the resistence of the bulb to set its speed, a burned out filament will cause it to function improperly.

If you determine that it is not the bulb, check the actuator on the brake pedal that turns the lights on and off and turns off the cruise control when you step on the brake.

Another thing to check. It's only about a two dollar or so part. (I think)
