Hello,
This is my first post and I am in need of some help. I have a 01 Explorer Sport with a braking problem. I hope someone can help me out with this.
Here is the problem:
The explorer has close to 100K on it and last week I started noticing that when I hit the brakes at low speed, it seems like the brakes do not work. What I mean do not work is that it feels like the brakes have pressure, then lose pressure, then it gains the pressure back. This only happens when I am at a low RPM or going slow, not at high speeds or on the highway. I do notice it does it much more when I am going down hills too. I was told it could be a vacuum leak or ABS sensor going bad. It kinda feels like the ABS is kicking in, but I have no ABS light on and it does not do it all the time. Please, if anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it.
Thanks
