2001 Explorer Sport Trac
I have a 2001 Sport Trac. I recently moved and need new tires. I'm upgrading to 33's and I need to know about the size of lift I'd need to fit 33's. I know I can crank the torsion keys and then with the lift, it'll add some extra room. I'm thinking a 3" body would fit. I had a Ranger with 31's with a 3" body and it cleared them with extra room. Thank you! :) :us: :exp:

What kinda of lift would you suggest?

Depend on how much you want to spend i dont know a lot about st because i have a 91 ex but if you just want normal it would be what you said would be. The best route after tt 2-3 inches is max then after that you need to actually drop the ifs down to lift it more so body lift would be like 200 and then that would be 5- 6 inches of lift 2-3 suspension and 3 inch body and you could clear 33s fine . Theres a black one on here that has this i think and it looks good

Many easily fit 33" tires with a 2"torsion twist and shackles or add a leafs, and a 3" body lift.

I recommend body lift first followed by the torsion twist and only what you need to clear it then run add a leaf cause it won't flatten your leafs like shackles do

I would do a body lift p.s. i hate body lifts but like saving money then i would do torsion. Twist and add a leaf

Hey guys quick question...for anyone with the pro comp add a leaf...does it come as a set with both leafs or is the price just for one side?

comes as a set. go for the long add a leaf. usually listed for ~'97 F150 and not for the Ex but it is 2.5" wide like you need

Awesome thanks I was wondering about that. It's snowing again so I won't be able to do any sort of work...on the flip side, helped jump start a coworkers brand new Chevy silverado. His battery was dead, so pulling up right in front of his truck was funny cause his truck towered over mine lol

Just out of curiosity, what's the difference between the short and long leaf? I'm only seeing the short leaf when I search for it

Awesome thanks ill look into those...good thing I asked before I ordered the short leaf

i have the short 13120 and it gave me 1.75" of lift i think the full length will hold the lift longer and settle less plus the spring rate may be different

So any advice on which to use? Or just personal preference?

I have the short and it settled more than would have liked and supposedly the longer ones don't make it as stiff. I don't have an issue with how stiff it is but just reporting what I've read.

In all honesty I'd prefer the stiffer ride since I'm used to driving a Ram 2500, but I don't want to sacrifice that for them settling quicker

Can't guarantee the longer one won't settle like the short. Just sharing my experience with the short.
